My 5 month old DS used to be a fab sleeper. That is until he learned to roll over, and now he keeps flipping himself and waking himself up. He will not sleep on the other side and if I leave him he just starts to scream and wakes himself up fully.

So this evening, out of desparation, I tucked the end of his sleeping bag under the end of the mattress, so he can't roll over. And he went to sleep instantly instead of 20 mins of patting and rolling him back over. Is this a bad thing to do? Am I going to slow his development by not letting him practice his rolling at night?? Not sure what else I can do

sounds fab to me - advice is to still sleep on back at this age - so you're doing a good thing - get the summerweight grobag for 6mth -3 yrs - it's so long you'll do that for ever!
