9 mo sleep regression? Send help

One very tired mum looking for help, please!

My DS has never been a good sleeper, best he's ever done is a 5hr stretch. But we'd at least gotten to the point where he's feed 2 times a night (I breastfeed) and any other wakes Dad could settle him with a little cuddle or just popping his dummy back in.

But suddenly the past 3 nights he's been up every 1-2hrs! The absolute only thing that will settle him is feeding to sleep. If Dad tries to settle him he just screams and screams. Last night I fed him 6 times.

I really don't want to be going backwards with feeding in the night, as it means he takes less during the day. But it's the only way he'll settle.

I just returned to work a couple weeks ago, so this is absolutely killing me! I know 9 months can be a sleep regression, but any tips on how to survive this??

I was at the point of considering sleep training before this hit...but not sure if sleep training is effective during a regression??
