10 week old and sleeping long stretches at night

My 10 week old started sleeping for longer stretches at night a week or so ago. He is going down at 7/7.30 and sleeping for at least 8 hours. I'm not sure if he'd sleep longer as I've been waking him up for a feed if it got to that stage.

I feel like this hit my milk supply really quickly. So I have started a dream feed at 11ish and then waking him up at 3ish. Is this necessary or am I overly worrying about my supply?

The other option is to start trying to pump at night which I haven't done at all so far. Would this be a better option than waking the baby?

I worry that he is actually hungry during the night because although he is not crying he does wake and grumble/make noises/move around but he seems to still be in a light sleep and once he finds his thumb he eventually goes back to sleep without me getting up to him. When I do wake him for a feed and nappy change he goes back down quite happily and sucks his thumb to go back to sleep (although this can take a while but I do not need to settle him).

I'm a FTM and I think I might be overthinking this but I am worried that he is hungry at night and that I'm damaging my milk supply.

He hasn't been weighed for nearly two weeks but has been gaining weight well and was 12lbs 3oz at his last weigh in. He was 7lb 4oz at birth. He's generally eating well in the day although I have noticed that he is eating less than he was a few weeks ago, partly because he is getting distracted when feeding.

Please don't worry about this. Your baby sounds like a beautiful sleeper and will let you know if they're hungry. Your supply will naturally adjust to your baby's demand too. Just let nature do its thing - our bodies amazing at knowing what to do! Sometimes I feed my baby more and my supply naturally goes up. Just relax and enjoy that lovely sleep Smile

It is crazy to wake your baby up during the night. He will let you know if he's hungry, and your milk supply will be just fine.

Please enjoy this. When my baby was 4 - 10 weeks he was doing incredible stretches. That all ended at 12 weeks. For the last 4 weeks it’s been one big sleep regression hell of feeding every 90 min and all nighters. I wish I had enjoyed the earlier bit of his 7-8 hour stretches as they feel a distant memory now!
