Overnight comfort

Baby used to sleep all night then 4 month sleep regression hit and it's all went wrong. Baby now 5 months and wakens twice a night for feed, purely comfort and takes less than a oz a time. Refuses a dummy. Anyone any ideas what else I can do?

On top of this his nappies have started leaking due to this. I can change it during one of those wakening but he'll think its morning all will take hours to go back down. Currently tried Pampers and aldi. Pampers still leak even if I wake late evening to change.

Thanks for any help

Can't help on the wake-ups, twice a night sounds like heaven and not unreasonable for a baby that age. I would just give whatever comfort he wants.

Nappies: reusables leak less and you can stuff them with extra fillers to hold all the wee. Or you might need to go up a size. Or do a double-bagger and put another nappy over the top, or use a filler pad inside as well.

Have you gone a size up in nappies? I went above DDs weight in nappies to stop leaks.
I would just go with the feeds for now; in a couple of months you could try replacing with water to see if that cuts the habit but not at 5 months and I don’t think 2 wake ups is unusual.
Do you do a dream feed? If he is a little bit hungry that would help but if he needs the comfort it’s a bit early to do anything else.
