4 year old won't sleep alone

6 months ago when DD4 had a virus I slept with her one night to keep an eye on temp etc.

Since then I have not left her bed. She goes to sleep on her own then by 11pm wakes up crying for me and I then go and sleep in her single bed with her.

I don't know how to stop. She just gets so sad and cries and she seems so little to be on her own. I don't want her to cry herself to sleep but she is 4 years old now and everyone else is posting in this forum about their 4 month olds not sleeping alone!

I just don't know how to sleep train her! Any ideas before I buy her (and me) a double bed .

DH says he is having some great sleep in the king size on his own...

You say ‘she seems so little to be on her own’ so do you mind that you sleep with her? Is this something you want to change right now or are you feeling external pressure?
