Baby crying whilst asleep

Hi.

Does anybody else's baby randomly cry whilst they are sleeping? Our DD has done it 3 times now.

Yes. All 3 of mine have done that.
Proper sobbing at times too.

Its heartbreaking poor things

We're going through this now with our 7 month old...proper hysterical sobbing completely out of nowhere! Then he'll go back to sleeping soundly. Nightmares?

A couple of times a week! And she never wakes up from it. I think nightmares?

Yeah my 15 week old has done it a few times like she's having a nightmare. Makes me feel teary!

Yes. I love it when they laugh in their sleep 😍

Aww, yeah laughing in their sleep is so funny. My 5 year old still does it frequently!

oh yes. nightmare or night terror or when sick.... it breaks my heart every time

It sounds like she is scared 😔 i just quickly cuddle and sssh her back to sleep. Poor pumpkin

My toddler did this for a while. We always made an effort to wake him up but it seems that it's better just to gently soothe and let them sleep through it, as the confusion of being woken is worse. They won't remember in the morning.
