6 month old suddenly impossible to put down

My 6 month old has always had mainly contact naps in the day, a lot of wake ups in the night but I could put her down asleep in her snuz after 10-15 mins. The past week or so sge’ll be sound asleep in my arms but wake up the second she’s put down. When I do manage to put her down she’ll sleep for around an hour then the whole thing starts again.

Any ideas what’s changed and how to deal with it?

Late four-month regression? Early onset separation anxiety? More awareness of the world so she senses being put down more now?

Are you breastfeeding and feeding to sleep? Can you feed lying down and have the side of the Snuzpod down so she has her space but still has contact with you? We just sidecarred a full-size cot to carry on with this method without the Snuzpod flappy bit in the way.

We're on hourly wakings at six months over here too. Got myself a rock-solid milk/sleep association. Although sometimes she'll do 3 or 4 hours just for kicks.

My DS is 5 months and I've recently been having the same issue despite him previously going down in crib no problem. I thought maybe going from the warmth of my arms to the cold crib mattress could be causing it, especially since the colder weather has started. I decided to try a sleep bag so I could cuddle him and then put him down with the comfort of the same warmth and it seems to have done the trick! May be worth a try if you don't already use a sleep bag.

6 month regression, then there's 9 and 12, basically they chuck a spanner in the works whenever you think you have it sorted..
