Duvet arguments

Hi. I’m a new mum and struggling to get decent sleep. Not because of my son tho! I’m through the newborn phase and he’s now sleeping well but I toss and turn in the night because my husband and I can’t agree on the duvet!
He hates being hot in bed but I’m always freezing!
Anyone else with the same problem?! Anyone found a solution other than divorce?!

1 Single duvet each

Embracelife · 15/10/2019 23:20

Just get one single duvet each

WaxOnFeckOff · 15/10/2019 23:23

One Duvet each or you can get half and half duvets like this:

lyingwanker · 15/10/2019 23:23

Yep, one each is the way forward

LenoVintura · 15/10/2019 23:24

Duvet each. Life changing, especially at menopause.

HeddaGarbled · 15/10/2019 23:24

You get all the duvet 😃

AgeLikeWine · 15/10/2019 23:27

Definitely one single duvet each, so both partners can have the degree of warmth they want. It’s a complete no-brainer. Problem solved.

I have no idea why some people insist on sharing a duvet. It’s daft.

Mixingitall · 15/10/2019 23:29

We spent some time in Germany, and the one duvet each approach is amazing! I loved it. The hotel staff also folded it back nicely at the bottom of the bed, i’m Guessing I’d also good for airing the mattress too.

Bargebill19 · 15/10/2019 23:37

Single duvet each with a king size on top. Perfect!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/10/2019 23:38

Deffo a duvet each. We discovered this when staying at a relatives and they had pushed twin beds together. A revelation!

Bythepool · 15/10/2019 23:47

I would actually suggest a double duvet each if you have a bed larger than a double. I did this for a while and it was wonderful.

Charlie7779 · 16/10/2019 09:41

Thanks everyone. I’d rather have one duvet so that I can make the bed in the morning and it all look smart under one duvet cover.
One of my friends has just sent me this link! www.thetogtailor.com
Looks brilliant!

Get two and then put a throw or something over the top.

Harrysmummy246 · 17/10/2019 15:02

I put a jumper/ socks on

MangoSalsa · 17/10/2019 15:04

Half and half duvet a size bigger than your bed, so king if you’ve a double, super king if you’ve a king etc. Plus a nice soft, fluffy blanket artfully draped on your side than you can use under duvet extra cosines or round neck/shoulders.

LenoVintura · 17/10/2019 15:26

I make the bed Scandi- Austrian style, so fold or roll each single duvet rather than leave them opened out. Looks neat and has the effect of airing the mattress.
