Hi. My son will be 3 months next week. We swaddle him at night time because if we don't he throws his arms about pretty much the full night keeping us awake and he eventually wakes from this.
My husband decided not to swaddle him the last 2 nights because our DS was very upset at being swaddled. To be fair, he doesn't like it for the first minute, but with some gentle swaying he is out cold and has recently been sleeping from 8om till 4.30am.
With him not being swaddled, he has been waking up for a feed at 12, 4 and 6.
I have tried using swaddle blankets but he always seems to wriggle free. We absolutely loved the velcro fastening ones but I feel these are getting a little tight on him and I don't want him being uncomfortable.
Will this arm throwing stop? What would you suggest u do for him to be more settled at night? I love the night feeds (believe it or not) but would love if he could go back to sleeping right through giving him a great sleep.
