Mobile for Snuzpod and any tips for beginning a routine

My baby is 6 weeks old and has become a lot more alert lately. I'd like to attach a mobile to her Snuzpod crib - has anyone bought one successfully attached on?

Also, shoudl I start introducing a very loose bedtime routine? Such as singing the same lullaby each night when she is put in her crib. Any other tips?

She's still tiny so no schedule but getting a good bedtime routine going early worked for us.

At this age we did bath > sleeping bag > bf to sleep > bed.

That transitioned to bath > feed > sleeping bag > story > lullaby > bed.

Nap time routine introduced around 4m is feed > nappy change > sleeping bag > lullaby > bed.

She has the same song every time and I don't sing it any other time. Choose something you really like 😂

Mixed thoughts on mobiles, I kept all toys/stimulants away from the cot to try and help her settle to sleep as there's nothing else interesting to do 💁🏻‍♀️

Good luck 🌸

I agree with PP about the mobile, I wish we hadn’t bought one for DS. Once he got old enough to notice it was there it then became a distraction for him which didn’t help the sleeping situation.

She’s still very young but a very loose routine wouldn’t hurt. We didn’t have a routine for DS at that age but we made sure lights were low in the evening and there wasn’t too much noise or activity going on in the lead up to bedtime. At about 12 weeks I started with a bath, sleeping bag, boob/bottle, story and cuddle, sleep, routine and I’m still doing that now at nearly 7 months. Works well (most of, but not all of, the time) for us.

Thank you both. I have picked a nursery rhyme and will stick to it at 'bed time'. At the moment, we just let her sleep when she wants and then head up to bed with her when we are ready and she sleeps on us before we go up. Love the baby cuddles.
I was thinking around xmas time when she will be 3 months to think more about a routine.

And I will reconsider the mobile then!
