4 month old bedtime?

Our DD, 21 weeks, sleeps well 8/9 hr stretch at a time , then feed and usually another 2 hours. At the moment she is dozing in her bouncer with us downstairs from around 7, which is when she gets sleepy, and we take her up with us around 8.30/9pm. A top up feed then back down.
I’m keen to wait until she’s 6 months until we leave her upstairs on her own, but is this what most people do?

Mine is the same age and has been going to bed at 7/ 7.30 for a couple of months now. I have other children that need to be put to bed so he goes in his cot with the monitor on and I check on him frequently. I go to bed between 9 and 10.

My DD is 4 months and I put her upstairs with monitor on until I go to bed

Ds is 4 months and stays downstairs with us sleeping until 11ish when we go up. We’ll wait until roughly 6 months before putting him up to bed early.

A monitor doesn’t serve the same purpose as having them in the same room. It’s not about you hearing them, it’s about them hearing your breathing and using it to regulate their own.

I'm same position with my 5 month old. He's down with us til bed (9ish) but falls asleep on my lap as soon as dd goes to bed around 6.

It's really annoying that they don't give stats to help quantify risk on sids. Like if it increased risk 1% or 0.00001%, it's worth knowing.

HVs always say to put them down drowsy but not asleep Hmm but also in same room as you - no way DS would sleep with me nearby but not be on me

Mine slept midnight till noon.

And we bed-shared. So she was with me.

You stayed in bed 12-12 @Boobiliboobiliboo ? I think I'd actually love that

Too right! She’s seen in every new year since birth too! 🎉
