8 week old sleep/feeding advice

My little boy is 8 weeks old on Monday. Up untill last week he was on 4hourly feeds of 4oz. He was feeding 8, 12 and 4 around the clock. It seemed to be working well! I now think I’ve ruined the routine he was in as he was quite sleepy at the midnight feed I decided to see how long he would sleep for. The first couple of nights where okay but now he seems to be more awake of a night and his deepest sleeps are in the day! I feel like we should try and stick it out but I just don’t know what to do for the best! Some advice would be great! I don’t know whether to just try and go back to the 8,12 and 4 feeds and let him decide when to change

Google 8 week sleep regression.

Nothing lasts forever with little babies. Forget routine and habits - way too early for all that. Just feed him when he’s hungry.

Just googled. It makes sense! Thank you
