Baby wakes same time every night

My little girl is 5 and half months old. She is put to sleep awake every night and is perfect at getting her self to sleep (same for day naps). She goes to bed around 7pm each night. For the last few weeks, she is waking up between 9pm and 10pm crying. Sometimes she can get back to sleep if I put her music on by other times she cry's uncontrollably until fed!

She is fed every 4 hours in the day (combination fed). Naps three times a day (usually).

I then dream feed her a bottle at 11pm then feed her myself when she next wakes - this isnt consistent and can be anywhere between 2am-4am.

Did anyone else's little one wake up every night at the same time and any tips on how I can get her to go a little longer at night. I've tried soothing her without feeding her but she won't settle.

I would just feed her, do whatever is quickest/ easiest to get her back to sleep. If you're giving her a bottle at 11 anyway why not move that to 9-10 or whenever she wakes up and dont bother with the 11pm one?

I know it's not what you wasnt to hear but we tried all sorts of "tips" to get DD to sleep better and nothing worked, she just sort of worked it or eventually.

Just do a dream feed. So go in at 10pm whether she's woken up or not & feed her. She won't fully wake up then.

My LO always did this (more often than yours) at this age - I think they come to expect a feed subconsciously at a certain time & wake for it.

We started to do a dream feed at 10pm, which held off the next feed a lot longer, so could be worth a try?

It's so difficult at this age, as I felt so tired and desperate for her sleep to improve - but promise it will be so much better in a couple of months when she can go longer between feeds etc!

Good luck!!

She is waking hungry so feed her. 3 feeds a night is completely normal at this age. I would consider feeding her on demanding, go to bed yourself after her first wake up and then just feeding her when she is next hungry. If she has feed at 9 or 10 then she probably doesn’t need milk at 11.

She hasn't been weaned so is waking up hungry. Just feed her. In about 2 months when she is weaned and actually digesting her food, then she won't wake up.

You are lucky! Mine wakes up every hour (not like it's a competition but I'd give anything for your nights!) Xx
