Sleep training while teething

Hello

We were thinking of getting a sleep consultant in to come help us with a sleep training plan but our 8 month old baby has started teething. The pain seems to be worse at night and last night he was up for an hour. Should we put off the sleep training until the teeth pop out? The consultant we spoke to said it was up to us but with teething granuals and calpol he may be fine.

Would appreciate any advice!

Thanks in advance

You could still get the sleep consultant in and get a sleep plan in place but just with the understanding that sometimes sleep plans goes out the window whilst they’re teething.
We found with my grand daughter that despite Calpol and teething granules she was waking with teething tummy aches and wind so inevitably the sleep routine goes out of the window until those teeth popped through.
