Is this a good schedule?

👋

I have a near 14 month old ( will be in a week!).

Her day typically:

Wakes anywhere between 8am and 9am
Naps between 1pm and 2pm - usually 2 hours
Bedtime from 9pm. With a couple of resettles...then down for the night around 10/10.30pm through to morning...8/8.30am

Just wondering what your schedule was like at that age?

No idea if mine is good!

Looking for improvement. Have zero evenings.

Thanks 🎉

If you want get to go to bed earlier than I would imagine you’d need to get her up earlier or reduce her nap time or possibly both.
At that age my DD was up 6.30/7, an hour nap in the day around 12/12.30/1 depending on the day then bed at 7.30 for the night.

Thanks @user1493413286

That's really interesting in the 1 hour nap. And they lasted till bedtime? I keep getting conflicting advice that they should be having 2 hour naps - even 3 hours! I thought my DD wasn't getting enough daytime sleep!

My son is almost 14 months.

Wake up 6am
Nap 11am till 12:30/1pm
Bedtime 6/7pm

He has recently decided he only wants 1 nap this past few week but he used to do this:
Wake up 6am
Nap 9am till 10am
Nap 2pm till 3pm
Bedtime 7pm

My 14 month

6/6:30 wake up
Naps after lunch for an hour or 2 (depends if at home or Childminder's)
Bedtime 7:30

Bronnie2018 · 25/09/2019 13:28

Thanks both.

@Bronnie2018 it depends but usually between 12-12:30 ... 1300 on a bad day!

Our routine with just turned 14 month old:

Wake between 6.30-7.30
Nap 11.30/12 usually for one and a half/two hours
Bed 6.45/7

At the minute we are giving her lunch once she’s up from her nap as she’s normally too tired to eat it before. Not long dropped her morning nap. Hoping the next month or so the nap will be more 12/12.30 but at the minute it’s working for her.

Interesting reading everyones routines. Ours:
Wake between 5.30-6 (unless cold or teething)
Nap 9-10 (if i wake him up otherwise 2 hours)
Lunch 12.30
Nap 2 or 3ish for an hour
Bed 7-7.30
If we are out and about he generally still does this but for less time. Even if we put him to bed at 7.30 he wakes early and hes just really tired and grumpy at bedtime.

Bronnie2018 · 26/09/2019 14:19

@SnowWhite26 it is really interesting isn't it...I'm always wondering what other schedules are like.

I'm going to aim to wake DD up earlier - 7.30/8am and try for a bedtime of 8/830pm.

😞So I've been trying the earlier wake ups with my DD now 15 months ...

This past week has been:
Up 7.30am /8am
Nap 12.30/1 for up to 2 hours
Wakes 2.30/3
Dinner then bath...takes us up to 7pm
Books and breastfeed...
But..and here's the frustrating part - can't get her down till 9:930pm. Last night it was 10pm.

So exhausted I just go to bed! Hubby and I have no time together in the evenings and it's starting to grate.

Have been doing this for a week now.

Mine always woke at 5am and had to be in bed at 7pm. nothing I did would change it. I think they're all just programmed differently, if it was working before for you all why change it?
