Hi all. Don’t shout at me, I know babies don’t sleep particularly well & are all different. I’m looking for guidance & others experiences (and perhaps some sort of plan but I think that’s laughable?!)

My 6 mo wakes twice in the night for a bottle. My 1st slept through from 4 mo (no training).

She is in her own room. Started solids a month ago. Doesn’t drink a huge amount of milk in the day no matter what I try (usually around 3 x 6oz bottles plus 2-3 ‘meals’ = size of a few ice cubes) Then she wakes in the night for 2 bottles. FF

I went back to work last week & am finding it hard being so tired. I’ve tried to put in a sort of nap/feed schedule but it’s hard as every day is different (some days we drive to school, sometimes walk, and now of course some days she is with my parents or at nursery 1 day!)

A typical work day would be:

Wake 5.30-6
Won’t drink any milk. Small meal of baby porridge
8am - nap (this will be short if in pushchair/car)
11 - bottle & nap
1pm - small lunch meal
3pm - nap (seems very tired but fights this nap terribly, sometimes won’t nap)
5 - some milk & small meal
6 - winding down
6.30 - bottle & bed
2 x night feeds

Or if home/weekend:

5.30-6 wakes up.
6.30 - brek
Between 8-9: bottle & nap for 2 hours in cot
12 - small lunch
1 - bottle & 2 hour nap in cot
4.30 - small dinner. Starts acting very tired but won’t nap
6-6.30 - bed
2 x night feeds

(Obviously I haven’t listed playing/outings. Just trying to show food & sleep)

I’ve tried cutting back the milk in the night but she just won’t go back to sleep (hungry). But is never really wanting milk in the morning. She’s never been big on milk. But solids is going well.

Any tips?

Forgot to say, she isn’t suffering separation anxiety. Once she’s drank the bottle, burped, she will go back to sleep usually.

Perhaps I’m being unreasonable. It’s just so different with no.2 & being back at work.

Look at Lucy Wolfe. I found her book and insta videos really helpful xx

I've stopped thinking about it tbh. Babies arent machines, there's no manual and certainly no right or wrong age they'll sleep. Also bear in mind at 6/7 months is the first regression usually because their learning so much, their brains are developing at a faster rate so are "over stimulated" in a way, causing them to wake more.
My 7 month old eats 3 meals a day - and I mean full meals - a full jar of food plus pouch puree or bowl of fruit, or whole slice of toast with beans then yoghurt for example. Plus takes 3 bottles of milk a day each about 7 ounce. And he still wakes for a feed at night, plus once to be re settled.
