13 month old waking up CONSTANTLY

Hello,

As the title suggests, our 13 month old has been waking up more and more the past two weeks, coinciding with the start of nursery.
From about 9 months (yes never slept well before that) he was sleeping 6.30 to about 4.30/5, having a bottle and going back to sleep til 6.30 ish.

The last two weeks have seen him get up on average 4 times a night, almost always due to having done a poo, so needing a full change.

Is this normal at this age? I guess it's all due to the change of nursery but WOW was not expecting the sleep to go so badly downhill!

We've been reverting back to old way these past two weeks to get our son to sleep- giving loads more milk feeds which we had wanted to eradicate, cuddling to sleep/ giving back rubs to sleep and generally responding to every whimper.

I just need to know this will end soon! So so so tired!

Thanks.

Normal for us, 20 month old has never slept through. Usually up 4 times a night or more. He is breastfed and we co-sleep to survive.
