Should we give up with naps?

My 27 month old has never napped in his cot. For the last year we've pushed him to sleep in his pram. Over the last few weeks he's refused to go to sleep in his pram and wants to walk! He doesn't seem tired and will run and run for ages if we let him out of the pram. He will always no say if we ask him if he's tired! He's very stubborn!
He still goes to sleep easily at nursery, on a floor mat, typical! Last week though he did miss a nap for the first time and wouldn't go off.

I've resorted to taking him out in the car at nap time instead and he drops off within 10 mins or so.

If he's not napped he goes to bed really well and is in a good mood all afternoon.

Do you think we should continue with car naps or just say goodbye to the nap? Has anyone been in a similar position with a nap fighter?!

Both mine stopped at 18 months, so you've done well to get them lasting that long!

Sounds as though he is definitely ready to stop. If he gets a bit grumpy after several days you can always have a calm time after lunch for a couple of days. - just a few stories on the sofa etc.

Yep! My 18 month old had sleep issues, and i used to put him down to sleep and be patting him for ages .. until i realised if he didnt want to sleep, he doesnt have to during the day. Its helped alot with him.sleeping thru the night and getting to sleep
