5 1/2 month baby sleep help

My son will cry when I’m trying to rock him to sleep he has never done this before last week. He doesn’t no how to self settle as I will put him in his cot and he would roll over onto his front and can’t get back over and he starts to cry and this last week he will wake every 1 to 2 hours at night sometimes crying when I’m holding him and I don’t no why I used to sleep with him but I have stopped this over 3 weeks ago as he would only sleep with me please help sleep deprived mum x

Hiya. Sometimes they can reach an age where rocking can be too stimulating and it makes it hard for them to fall asleep. Have you tried just holding him instead and stroking over his eyes? Or just lay down with him whilst humming a song?

It could also be the 4 month sleep regression hitting a bit late. So look that up just in case. Good luck!
