Hi. I gave birth to my son 11 weeks ago however he was 3 weeks early.
He was doing great by only waking at 2:30/3am for a bottle and then 6/6:30ish
This morning however I continued to give him his dummy and he's lasted till now ( currently bottle feeding him now). Have I just been a bad mum and deprived him or does this mean he just wanted something to suck on?? :(

Hi, if he wasn’t screaming the house down he would just need something to suck. My daughter usually won’t take her dummy and will keep on crying, that way I know it’s milk she needs.

If he wanted milk then the dummy would not work.
I worried the same at first but if my DD wants milk she wont take the dummy or will only take it for 2 mins before spitting it out and staying awake.
