Putting 8 week old to bed at 7?

For the past few weeks our routine has been, nap at 7 (after a battle to get him to sleep) then around 8.45/9 we will wake him to bath him and then put him to bed for 9.30 after a feed. He would then wake up at 3/4 and again at 6/7am. I just think it’s stupid of us to be waking him to bath him to relax him to sleep.

So last night I decided to bath him at 6 with his big brother but unfortunately we struggled to get him down for his nap at 5 so he was exhausted and very over tired. He had a bottle at 6.30 and was out like a light at 7. I gave him a dream feed at 10 (he was soundo) to see if it would mean him going longer in the night, he took the whole 6oz but he woke at 1.30 and I mean WOKE lol. He was wide awake. He didn’t go back down till 3 but then slept till 7.

Do u think I should just skip the dream feed and see what happens? I feel like I’m all new to this as my first fed every 2 hours like clock work and got in to a little routine very early on but with my second I’m constantly guessing when he’s going to be hungry or wake up!!

I wouldn't dream feed. I think works for some but I have read that it just disrupts their sleep and digestive rhythm. See how it goes without!

I used to try dream feeding as I read it worked for loads of people's babies but I found my little boy would wake up even earlier then normal and I think it's just because he took more milk then he needed. It sounds weird but he slept better when he wasn't so full lol, maybe he was uncomfortable after dream feeding but in the end I just stopped and let him wake up by himself when he wanted a bottle xx
