Hi all,

My 3.5yr old DD has recently developed a fear of bedtime, her bedroom, being alone, the dark, etc. She cries every time we mention bedtime and when we put her down she screams like we're torturing her. She has teddies, a nightlight, her comforts and we leave the hall light on for her, but she still doesn't go down and when she finally does it's never for long then she ends up in our bed which means we don't sleep as we only have a small bed. We're at our wits end and don't know what to do. Help please!

Oh that's tricky, Maybe try putting her into your bed then when you go to bed putting her in her own room?

My son gets like this sometimes, when he wakes one of us goes to sleep on a camp bed in his room, that way it keeps him in his own bedroom, we now have some nights when he sleeps through, so it isn’t a complete fix, plus I think he suffers with night terrors too, he wakes in such a panic sometimes x
