Giving dummy back???

Would you ever consider it?

DD is 5. We removed the dummy just before she was 4, so over a year ago.

She's never been a great sleeper but is now worse than ever. She takes ages to go to sleep requiring me to stay with her and then wakes multiple times per night needing someone to stay with her until she's asleep.

She still cries for her dummies and says she misses them.

I need to get her sleeping better. I know I need to wean her off me staying but can't bare the thought of the stress it's going to cause DD.

Would I be crazy to consider giving the dummy back? Probably crazy or just very sleep deprived!
