the question says it all really. Should he or shouldn't he or does it not matter either way?

What do you think?

er yes

nikcola · 20/09/2004 20:01

yes dd is 3 and shes had one for a year

My 2yr old DD (still in a cot) has recently decided that she like to sleep with her head slighlty elevated. I put quite a flat pillow underneath the head end of her cot mattress which is quite flexible and she seems perfectly happy with that.

I'd think that your DS will just throw it off the bed if he finds it less comfy than no pillow.

iota · 20/09/2004 20:14

my 2 had a cot pillow from 1 yr in the cot and a normal pillow as soon as they went into a bed (both before the age of 2)

SoupDragon · 20/09/2004 20:16

If he wants one. DSs have them but DS2 (3) sleeps all over his bed, rarely with his head on the pillow.

aloha · 20/09/2004 20:54

If he wants.

mckenzie · 20/09/2004 21:03

thanks guys. I think because we're so used to seeing him without one it just looks strange to se him now with one. Half of his body seems to be on it though i suppose because it's quite big in comparision to his little head/body. He does want it so we'll let him have it and see whether it stays in the bed or ends up on the floor in the morning.

McKenzie, dd has a kid's pillow from Ikea, much smaller and less plump (I wish that was me I was describing ...) than an adult's pillow. Might be worth a try.

Skate · 26/09/2004 14:31

Don't see a problem with pillows. My ds's have had one from about 1 yr old even when still in a cot - sometimes their head is on it, sometimes it's not!! They just have a flattish one though, not a big squishy one like I've got!

nutcracker · 26/09/2004 14:37

Mine all had them from age 1. Infact Dd2 and Ds ocasionally had them before 1 as they coughed alot unless proppped up.

suzywong · 26/09/2004 15:02

yes, why ever not?

Miaou · 26/09/2004 15:10

How did he take to it, mckenzie?

mckenzie · 26/09/2004 16:40

well, as it turns out he lvoes it. And he looks so cosy, much more so that when he was in the sme bed with just the duvet. Not sure why it makes him look more cosy but it just does. Is till ask him most nights if he'd like ti or not and he always say yes!
