Newborn and hot weather

Hi everyone, I'm due in 3 weeks and am concerned about how a newborn will sleep in this heat, what should I put her to bed in? Would really appreciate your advice.

We have tested the temperature in the room with the gro egg and it's still 24 degrees in the evening Shock what would you recommend she wears / uses blanket or sheet wise? We were advised at our antenatal class that swaddling is no longer recommended due to it potentially causing hip issues in future.

My DD is now 9 weeks and my bedroom never goes below 24.
When its at 24/25 i put her in a long sleeve long leg baby grow and a very light blanket (dont fold in half as this counts as 2 blankets if you fold)
She is always fine and never feels hot when i do a night feed.
You can also get the baby sleeping bags (grobag) they give a guide on what tog to out baby in if you do a google search

Baby is used to be being inside you so it is used to warmth but your right to be worried about them over heating.

A couple of weeks ago in 25c in our room so I had my new born in a vest with a Muslim over. Now it is about 22c so she is in a baby grow with a cellular blanket.

I highly recommend gro bags. Much better than blankets imo

Light gro snug, once big enough 0.5 tog sleeping bag, or just a nappy, possibly with a light muslin over.

That is of course if the mini hot water bottle deigns to sleep anywhere other than on a human...
