9mo has stopped sleeping

Just that basically. He goes to sleep by himself at bedtime, but is up within an hour and takes at least another hour to settle. Once he wakes again the next time he's up for hours. Last night he was awake from 11.30-4am. He screams hysterically if he's in his cot. If we pick him up he's wide awake and wriggling.

Rocking to sleep isn't working and he doesn't feed to sleep. We were doing gentle sleep training but this has stopped working, if we try staying by his cot and soothing rather than picking him up he will literally scream for hours non stop.

How can we get through this? I can't hold him for hours on end. Last night my arms were seizing up and I just couldn't rock him any longer so ended up getting him up to play for 30 minutes and then starting the bedtime routine again at 3.30am.

Surely he can't keep on going like this? He's only had about 7 hours sleep in the last 24 hours.

I'm getting desperate. I can't listen to him crying any more. It's awful.

Hi- no advice but mine is the exact same. I’m exhausted!

My only sleep tip is to cosleep. It worked for us and DD went back into her own bed at 22 months.
