I know every baby is different.. but I'm not having much luck with LO sleeping in the Moses basket.. what are people's experiences with the next to me?

We loved ours. Baby fits in it for longer than a moses basket and I found it so much easier for feeding and settling through the night. I could stroke baby's head or hold her hand whilst lying in bed myself.

Next to me was great for dd. She wouldn't go in the Moses basket without screaming. Sleepyhead was also good.

I just had a standard drop side cot, jammed up firmly next to my bed with that side dropped down. So the DDs could see me and smell me with no barrier in the way, but enclosed safely by the bars on the outside of the cot. Both DDs slept through contentedly from 8 weeks.
I never bought a basket - it seemed a bit of a waste of money for such a short time of use.

Ive got a Kinderkraft Neste (pretty much the same as a next to me but much cheaper!) my baby is a thrasher so throws her arms and legs around so bought a sleepyhead to put into the bedside crib and have found that that seems to work for us (most the time!)
My baby normally wakes when i put her down so this is a small win for me when she doesnt

I am currently doing the 'regular cot with side off attached to our bed' thing. Had a Bednest with my first and she outgrew it at six months, went in her own room and promptly started waking up at night again after months of sleeping through. I'm taking back control with a sidecar!

My son hated the Moses basket but settled a lot better in the Next2Me. Moses basket was used to store stuff in the end! With my daughter, she settles well in both. The Moses basket has been useful in the nights sometimes when we've slept downstairs because it's cooler, and to put her down without her brother dive bombing on her if I need to pop to the bathroom 😂

Totally love bedside cots. Wish I'd used with my first. Absolute godsend with my second and third and wish I'd tried it sooner. Moses basket was handy if needed to go somewhere but at home being next to me was so helpful. Best wishes and hope it works for you too.
