9 week old rolling over - Swaddle help!

My very lively 9 week old pretty much rolled over from back to front while he was playing a couple of days ago. Ended up almost face down. He sleeps amazingly with the miracle blanket swaddle. But now I’m terrified to use it as shouldn’t be swaddling when they can roll over. Without swaddling he flails his arms about and kicks his legs waking himself up within minutes of being put down. We’ve tried one arm out but still wakes up almost immediately. We don’t know what to do as don’t think he’s ready to come out of the swaddle yet but not sure it’s safe. Any ideas of how to settle a lively sleeper without a swaddle??!

I'm no expert, but if he can't roll in the swaddle then it's probably fine to leave him in it for the time being?

He does sound like a strong little guy though so I imagine you'll have to ditch the swaddle soon.

DS rolled a couple times early on but didn't do it consistently until he was 6 months. Keep an eye to see if he is actually making himself roll or its just a consequence of his movements. If its the latter you should be alright to swaddle him still but I would try him in the evenings where you can keep an eye and take him out if he does manage to roll over whilst swaddled

Yes I can’t imagine he’s capable of rolling when he’s in the swaddle. It did seem quite random when he rolled, don’t think he did it on purpose!
