I've looked this up online but not got as much advice as I had hoped so have decided to post here.

My ds turned 2 a couple of weeks ago.
Since mid april he's gone from sleeping 7.30/8pm - 7am , to now waking up at 5am sometimes earlier. He wakes up in such a grump it normally means I have to give him a nap at 10am then he is awake for ages before bedtime again.

On the advice of google we tried to move bedtime earlier so he now goes to bed at 7pm. We have white noise and blackout blinds. We make sure hes not hungry before bed. We tried treating the early wake ups like night wakings and putting him back to bed however he doesnt go back to sleep. Today i tucked him in again 5 times and eventually at 6am gave in and got up with him because he was screaming. He shares a room with his older brother who likes to sleep until around 8am so if he got woken up at 5am it wouldnt be great.

His nap is now usually around 9.30/10am-11.30/12pm.

Does anyone have any advice other than the standard advice on google? I have tried everything i can think of.

Is it time to drop the nap altogether or shorten it? Make nap later so hes not overtired? Make bedtime later?

I would appreciate any advice!
