4 month old moaning in sleep

DS will be 4 months this week. For the last few nights he has been waking me up several times due to sudden outbursts of moaning/groaning. I assume he’s awake but his eyes are shut and he’s still actually asleep. Luckily he doesn’t wake and settles back down but he’s doing it half hourly(ish) and it’s waking me up every time, I’m grateful that he isn’t actually awake but I’m getting a bit tired! He’s had his fist in his mouth a lot lately, sometimes in an agitated way, and dribbling. Could it be teething related or perhaps 4 months sleep regression? He has been generally quite cranky too.

My baby is 4.5 months and does exactly the same!! I get tempted to turn the monitor off sometimes because I always think she's awake and it drives me mad!! My little one is teething so I'm not sure if that's why??? She also done it as newborn when she was constipated. I guess it's better then them waking for a feed 🤷‍♀️ I did ask my health visitor once and she said that some babies are noisier sleepers then others... not much help sorry but mine baby does exactly the same!

I have been giving teething powder for the crankiness in the day! Seems to be helping.... if she gets bad a bit of calpol before bed. Dr said was ok whilst teething!
