Hi everyone,
Just after some ideas to help my 8 month old sleep.
We have a really good daytime routine, naps at similar times most days (hit and miss as to on her own in her bed or on me), and we have the same bedtime routine every night.
She goes to sleep fine at about 7:30-7:45 where my partner feeds her to sleep.
From here on out every night is different. She might wake at 11, 12, 1, 2 anything! Few nights ago she a did 7:30-2 then was awake until 5:30 when I managed to get her to sleep. Last Friday she slept from 7:30-5:30....we just have no consistency!
We tried sleep training at around 6 months and this really helped, for about a month she would do 7:45-4 pretty much every day.
It started to slip a bit and the patting, shushing wasn’t working too well, then we went in holiday and it all went out the window! Since then the shushing started working at night again but would sometimes take hours. Now nothing seems to work to help her to sleep. Shushing, patting, rocking, feeding, she’s just awake!
If you’re there she doesn’t cry, just wriggles round trying to sleep mostly, does a few yeps but not much. Go to leave her and she starts crying. We’ve been trying to avails picking her up to settle her but even that doesn’t seem to work now.
We just have no clue that to do to help her.
Any ideas welcome!!???!?!!
She is breastfed, but has one bottle of formula at bedtime. She doesn’t cry or moan for food. She doesn’t have a dummy as she won’t take one, and doesn’t have any other comforter as she never got in to anything.....she won’t sleep in our bed, she just wakes up as soon as we put her in.
Help save us please!!
