Size 2 bottle teat

My DD is 6 weeks old and ive changed her mam bottle teats to size 2 because she started taking less milk and taking ages to feed as well as only having a bottle in 2 sittings about an hour apart and always falling asleep.

In the day she is mostly fine with the teats but at night shes getting wet from the milk coming out her mouth and seems unsettled when having them and after.

She used to feed to sleep on the size 1 teats and wont fall asleep on size 2 and its taking me an hour n half - 2 hours to get her back to sleep at night where as before was 45 mins.

Any advice? I dont want to confuse her by doing size 2 in day and size 1 at night?

I found that sometimes there a big jump in flow when you go up teats. Although I never used MAM ones myself. I remember my DS being like this for a while. It’ll settle itself as she gets bigger but in the meantime I used to keep a Size 1 in a microwave steriliser bag by the side of the bed so that if she looks like she’s drowning in milk you can change it over without too much hassle. It’s the sucking that puts them to sleep so smaller size might fix your nighttime problem for a while.
