How do you put your 4-5week old to sleep?

I am very interested to find out how you put your one month old baby to sleep either for naps or bedtime.
I'm having difficulties with my almost 5 weeks daughter putting her to sleep as she just won't sleep.

Sling, bouncing on shoulder for fucking hours and feeding to sleep – until that stopped working. I would give my left arm to feed to sleep! or for her to like the pram like normal babies. Until then, sling sling sling or hand her to DP who she sleeps for almost instantly.

I will give the sling a try. She is just so fussy... and stays awake for hours. She now only sleeps with a dummy but I have noticed that she now doesn't sleep the whole way through as she keeps waking up every 15mn when the dummy falls and wants it back again.
I tried rocking her to sleep but as soon as I put her in her sleepy head she wakes up.

At 4-5 weeks we couldn't put DD down; at night she co slept practically in my armpit. Gradually moved her further into her sidecar crib. At the moment we're working on putting her down for naps after she's submitted to sleep. But not expecting miracles – she's little and just wants to be held.

I had the same problem starting at 5 weeks. I think it might be something to do with development where a baby suddenly becomes aware of the world. At 3.5 months I still rock or feed him to sleep. But looking forward to gentle sleep training in a couple of weeks time so I can stop feeling so nervous about falling asleep with DS next to me/in my arms.

My DD is 5 weeks
I can normally feed or rock after feed to sleep which I find is easier of a night to put her down.
If I put down in a cot in the day she will wake up 9 out of 10 times unless shes totally zonked! She tend to nap in my arms in day time then ill transfer her after a while to crib.
Of a night if she wakes when I put her down I can wait about 10-15mins and sometimes she falls back to sleep herself (never happens in day though)
Its so hard! So bloody hard. Wishing you all the best x
