13 month old pushing bedtime

My 13 month old son just won't go to sleep at night. He used to go down between 8:30 and 9 pm. He then pushed it to 9, then to 9:30 and now it's anywhere between 10:30 and 11:30 pm. He usually breastfeeds at night and very rarely falls asleep on the boob. Most of the time, I rock him to sleep. He then wakes up after 30 mins to 1 hr and will quickly go down with a cuddle. He wakes up randomly at night and needs the boob to fall back asleep. I have tried rocking him to sleep but he will scream the house down if he doesn't get the boob. Of late, he has started waking up in the night, take a feed and won't go back to sleep. He will play for 1 to 2 hrs. Since we co-sleep, this is keeping both me and my husband awake. Once he gets tired, he sometimes cuddles near one of us and sleeps and sometimes he needs the boob again.
He gets 1 or 2 naps during the day and he is always rocked to sleep. He won't feed to sleep or sleep in the buggy. I always have to tackle him and force him to take a nap. He has slept through the night once or twice but mostly wakes up 2 to 3 times. I am going back to work next month and am dreading sending his sleep habits.
What can I do to get him to sleep early and to stop his midnight plays?

No real advice here...but have found my DD now 11 months went through a phase of being awake at midnight and not going back for a couple of hours. She had 4 teeth coming through so not surprising!!
They seem to have phases of being alert at night if they are practicing a new skill... are they trying to stand/ walk? Crawl?

He recently started walking and had his first set of teeth a month ago. Not sure if he is getting more teeth though. He is just more difficult in general. More picky at meal times and clingy and throwing more tantrums. I hope this phase passes soon Sad
