When is it OK to sleep with a blanket?

DD is almost a year, and we're starting to think about moving her to her own room.

The problem is, it's an attic room and it's pretty warm. We've been cosleeping and she's been cosy enough with me beside her. She does like to be snuggled up with a blanket when she naps throughout the day, but I'm obviously supervising her then.

Lightweight grow bags for her size seem to be pretty hard to find. When could I put her down herself with just a blanket overnight?

Hi Chaichailatte
We've just started with a thin summer duvet because it can be quite cold on some days here with our LO who's 1year old and if he's warm he'll just push the blanket off or lie on top of it. Hopefully it works out well for you Flowers

it's ok to use blanket.

just make sure its the right size. you put feet tot he bottom on the bed, and the blanket only goes up to armpits.

but, if you're concerned, you can get lightweight sleeping bags: www.slumbersac.co.uk/summer-baby-sleeping-bags/?tog=3

You can 0.5 tog gro bags in all sizes pretty much everywhere. I'd rather that than a blanket / duvet on a different floor.

Have you tried mothercare online, or amazon? We've just got some 0.5tog from mothercare. You might find if you go from co sleeping, to her own bed, she moves around a lot more, and blankets will end up on the floor. My DS frequently spins 360 over the course of a night!
