I think I've broken my baby

My nine month old has been waking up every two hours for three weeks now after being a brilliant sleeper for ages. Through the four month regression, teething, everything. It seems to have coincided with him dropping more breastfeeds during the day in favour of solids. He always goes down on a full stomach. What am I doing wrong?? How can I fix this? 😭😭

Co sleep?

Bluerussian · 03/07/2019 06:04

I agree, co sleep.

It’s probably nothing you’re doing wrong, and more likely a sleep regression, developmental leap, etc, these can last several weeks apparently. If he was sleeping well until now I’d imagine if you try to keep consistent with what you’ve been doing you can come out the other side. Or you could cosleep!

How are you doing OP. Is he waking for milk or just a cuddle? Either way, co sleeping could help. But if you think he just needs more milk in the day you could try expressed milk in a cup between and with meals?

Is he trying to crawl? It's probably the 8 month regression. We didn't get the 4 month regression either.

Don't introduce any new sleep associations like co sleeping. Try and tough it out as best as you can, it usually lasts 2-6 weeks. We've just come out of the other side, it doesn't last forever! Although it's hideous at the time.

Mine was awful at this age for about a month. She was fidgety and kept waking up at the drop of a hat. Solved by her learning to pull up and cruise. I think it’s quite a common one for their to be sleep disruption due to developmental leaps?
