Sleepwalking and hot weather?

My husband just went up to check on the kids and he called down because DS2 (5) wasn't in bed - he found him glassy eyed at the top of the stairs to the loft conversion, having done a wee on the carpet halfway up the stairs! He was obviously sleepwalking - he went to sleep about an hour ago. He's never done this before (though I did at his age quite regularly). I wondered whether this could be linked to the crazy hot weather this evening? Anyone know much about sleepwalking?

I don’t know about it in a professional / academic sense but l have been sleepwalking for most of my life. I seem to do it more when lm under pressure / stressed or in a strange place or excess alcohol (sometimes). The weather doesn’t seem to influence it for me? Memorable incidents include sleepwalking out of a hotel room into a car park when l was about 8, trying to leave a flat in London wearing nothing but a pair of knickers. Bad news is mine didn’t get better until l was about 35 and even then l still do it!

It must be the weather. I found dd1 aged 5 in the hallway about 30 mins ago having done a wee on the carpet. She was crying but was completely out of it
