DD is sleeping on her face. Help!

DD is 4.5mo and this week has perfected the art of smoothly rolling from her back, onto her front (hurrah!). She's just wriggled in her sleep and shown me that she can do her new trick even when 99% asleep, and for a minute or so slept on her face before turning her head just a smidge to the side.

I can't ever sleep now can I?

My daughter did the same (at the same age). If she's got the strength to roll over, she's got the strength to move her head to breathe (as she demonstrated perfectly to you today!).
Continue to put her in her cot on her back but don't panic if she rolls. If she's in a crib / Moses basket it might be worth looking at moving her into a cot so she's got enough room to roll properly so she doesn't get stuck mid-roll with her face pushed into the side.

Thanks, that's reassuring to hear. We co-sleep (have done so almost since birth) so she has plenty of room (DH is in the spare room 😁) but now I'm thinking I'll have to move her as my mattress, although reasonably firm, isn't as firm as a cot mattress. She's turned her head fully to the side now, with her arms down her sides. Funnily enough it's how I slept before I got pregnant.
