4 Month old waking every night around 9pm

Hi folks,
So my little boy had colic which has now started to ease. The problem is that we are now left with a lot of bad sleep habits as previously when he screamed we had to sooth him whatever way we could as he was in pain. So now every night we bathe him and i breastfeed him to sleep at around 7pm. He will wake for burps a couple of times but goes back to sleep. But then at about 9pm he wakes up as if he has had a full night's sleep and is wide awake wanting to play! He isn't hungry and doesn't need changed etc. It's as if he considers it just one if his naps until his "real" bedtime! How do I break this habit?? I dream of the day we can put him down and he sleeps until he just needs fed again.

Does anyone have any similar issues that resolved themselves with time? I am constantly told that I need to let him "self-sooth" but anyone who has had a colic baby will understand that it just isn't as simple as that.

Hi there OP,

We're just giving this a bump for you - hopefully some Mumsnetters who can help will see this soon Flowers
