Hi I was looking for any recommendations, has anyone used a sleep consultant. We’re really struggling with our 11 month old DD. She has been a great sleeper previously, just looking for some advise on how to cope with this phase she’s going through. We live in the midlands. Thanks in advance for any replies 😊

My sleep consultant transformed our lives!

I actually tried two. One was not for me. She did a settle over the phone with us- it took 3.5 HOURS (going out, straight back in, lying him down and settling him, back out etc) and she said it was the longest settle of her 18-year career. I HATED it. We had been co sleeping for months because of severe discomfort due to reflux and my son was feeding throughout the night. I found a very gentle sleep consultant with no CIO methods and my son now sleeps in his own room and cot! He mostly sleeps through the night now too. It's changed my life

She works internationally and has very reasonable rates too - I researched a lot of them

Google family sleep consultant. Diane saved my life honestly no exaggeration I was on my knees with exhaustion and she was great

Thank you ladies - this is exactly what I logged on this evening to ask too. I am ashamed to admit I still haven’t managed to get my 9 month old to fall asleep by himself.

I’ve emailed Diane but would love more recommendations in case she is too busy to help. I assume it doesn’t matter where you are living? I am in Yorkshire

@iamapropermum I assume this is all done over the phone, is that right?

Sorry I mean @amiapropermum

That's right. A weekly call - plus daily contact and support which I personally really needed

It's really important to get one that feels like a good fit to you so having a chat with them first helps. The first one said we'd do the settle and then a proper chat whereas it should have been the other way around.

The second one got us and tailored her approach which meant my son and I were both comfortable throughout
