First set of molars- how long to fully come through and sleep again??

DS has all of his first set of molars coming through all at once. He’s pretty miserable a lot of the time and not sleeping well. All four teeth have partially broken through the gum but not all sides of the teeth have come through. I know that molars are bigger teeth and will take longer to fully cut through the gums, but could anyone reassure me that the end is in sight?? With his previous teeth once part of the tooth cut through the gum he was generally a happier and better sleeping chap within a day or so.

Some days he’s very grumpy during the day and they are obviously bothering him, other times not so bad. But he’s waking up quite a lot at night and waking up super early (pre 5am most days). Starting to get really tired and irrationally thinking it’s never going to end!

It does end, promise. DS was just like yours and cut all four at once. Honestly it was two weeks of hellish wake ups, miserable in the day and off his food. It was probably another week of this after they broke through. Then all of a sudden went back to normal.
Just do what you have to do to get through.

Oh thank you so much for the reassurance @wobblywibble we’ve finally had a good couple of nights so I’m hoping that we are over the worst even though the teeth haven’t cut through the gums on all sides. He also seems a bit happier in himself during the day, touch wood. Hoping we get a bit of respite before the canines make an appearance...
