Quicky, what time to you put your children to bed?

I have DSSs 7 and 9 currently go to bed 8 and 8:30 even at weekends. Too early?

Not too early if it works for you

OH thinks we should push it back a bit but they are shattered when they go up and go to sleep straight away so not sure why he feels the need to change it.

I asked and said well it's the weekend and they are well behaved 🤨 like it's a reward or something 🤷‍♀️

Mine are 8 and 6 and I aim for 8pm

My 7yo mostly goes to bed at 8, but we’re fairly flexible about it. He’s rubbish at sleeping in (occasionally gets to about 7.30 if he’s absolutely knackered - even that only on a school day - weekends are just too exciting to waste sleeping 😩) and is usually up somewhere between 6-7, sometimes earlier, no matter when he goes to bed. So when he’s overtired he goes earlier (and doesn’t quibble over this). And when we’re busy, or if the baby disturbs the evening too much, it’s quite often more like 9 which isn’t great but I don’t stress about it.

9yo will get up at 5:30 If we let him but tell him to go back to sleep and he'll sleep til 8:30/9

7yo we have to wake at 9 at the weekend, he's always slept well even as a baby

Both are shattered getting up for school Monday though 😂

Mine at that age were 8.30pm on school nights, 9.30pm at the weekend's and school holidays
