My DD is 11 months old and has been a great sleeper since she was 3 months. The last few nights however she has cried every time we have put her in her cot at bedtime. She stops once she's picked up and had a cuddle but starts sobbing again once she's put back in the cot, even if she's almost at the point of falling asleep on me or DH. We've gone through all the usual things that work - feed, change nappy, check temperature, cuddle, sing a song, but she starts crying (almost to the point of hyperventilating) the moment she realises she's being put down.
She normally sleeps through from 7pm-8am and self settles really well. She has been fine at nap time and has gone to sleep in her cot without a problem.
I'm wondering if it could be separation anxiety? She has been teething too but we seem to be past the worse of the most recent wave. She has started reaching to be picked up/carried by certain people more than others in the last few days (me and MiL) which she's not done before. Yesterday she reached for me every time my DH held her.
