9 month old suddenly waking more at night

The last few weeks my 9 month old has been sleeping through till 5 or 5.30. im the last week he has been waking up earlier and earlier. One day he woke up at 3 and chatted umtil 4.30 he is so loud!! I have been going in and giving him a small bottle coz hes had a cold and been really badly teethiing so not eating. He is still very congested bit yesterday had all milk in the day and 3 meals and has woken up now at about 2 ish. I let him chat but he got louder and so i went in and gave him 2oz. Hes got a cough. Its so tough as he was doing so well.. hes in sleepyhead so wondered if he was hit or wanted to roll. He is taking over 20 mins of chat to settle when we put him down as well. Loads of chat. I dont no what to do as he won't settle at night without a small cuddle and drink but even that hasnt worked. Why is he suddenly waking. He slept better when the tooth was actually cutting. Thanks

Hot in sleepyhead not hit lol. Also took him out of sleepyhead and he really didn't settle then!

Anyone? Hes just woken again at 3. Had 2 oz and is shouting and chatting away. :( I really thought he had got sleeping through. By giving him even a tiny bit of milk is tgis bad? Hes so loud i dont want his sisteer in same room to wake up. He sounds like he wants to get up and play its bloody 3 o clock!!! What am i doing wrong. If its teeth surely he would be crying x

It's quite common for them to have deep regressions around that age. Sounds like a developmental one with all the chatting.

Around 9 months my DS2 started waking again and having milk it's totally fine. He's now 11 months and it rarely happens but his big brother oh carried in much longer.

Thanks for replying. My little girl stopped milk at 6 months. Its so hard to no if its habit or hunger. He wakes abd chats. If i leave hik he just gets louder and ends up crying. If i dont feed him thr chatting just goes on and on more angry ahh it was an hour last night. X

The milk doesnt always settle him. Last night he woke be up at 3.30 chatting got shouty and a bit cryey gave him 3oz and he still kept chatting and shouting until eventually settling. Hes now had 2.5 hour nap as woke up at 6 still really tired. I dunno what to do :(
