Daytime Nap Struggle 18 month old

Has anyone struggled with naps being morning based once they have transitioned?

My DS now sleeps from 9:30/10-12:30, which although a good nap is slap bang in the middle of toddler groups, activities etc so I'm utterly devoid of adult company as everyone else with children around mines age disappears off the grid come 12 to do lunch and their naps...

I’ve never forced him to stay awake or to nap, I’ve always just left him transition himself (as he is quite the grumpy sod once he's tired) but since he’s dropped his afternoon nap it seems he’s sleeping earlier and earlier in the morning. It’s totally messing up our days now as we are both missing out on fun and some social interaction.

He goes to bed at 7 and gets up for the day around 6:15, although we have been suffering crap nights due to teething/illness/sleep regression, but nothing so bad he should be crashing out 3 hours after getting up.

No advice but following as my 16Mo is the exact same, i have had to stop going to certain play groups as she stays asleep the whole time. I have tried keeping her awake just the once!! (learnt that lesson quickly)

Have you tried waking after 30 mins? Because that punished me for the next 4 hours 😂 never to be attempted again

@Mrsfoggy oh god no, i feel your pain 😂

Think its just a case of having to wait it out until nap time changes, but i understand the frustration!

I've messaged anyone and everyone with a child under 4 in the hopes someone will say "ah yeah, they sundress slept perfectly during the day from 19 months"

So far, everyone is useless 😂
