Sudden sleep issues?

My DS is 11 weeks old tomorrow and since about 5/6 weeks has been sleeping between 6-8 hours a night at once. Last night I put him in his cot for the first time as he’s outgrown his Moses basket and hammock (he’s still in my room) and he slept from 9:00-12:30 then woke up but put himself back to sleep at about 1:00, then he was up again at 2:00, had a quick feed, something he hasn’t done for weeks, and then back to sleep at 3:00, he half woke up at 4:15 but not fully and stayed unsettled (grunting, wriggling etc.) in his sleep until 5:30 when he woke up for good. Is this because of the cot? I’m so worried it will have messed up his sleep, he’s usually such a good sleeper and I don’t want to spoil that. Could he be having a growth spurt or going through a leap early? If anyone has been through something similar and can offer any advice on if/when he’ll go back to normal that would be great!

Spoiler alert: babies don't have a 'normal' for long!
There's sleep regressions throughout the first year, google will let you know when.

More helpful answer - the cot is a big open space, baby will have felt snug in the Moses basket. Just keep going/trying the cot, hopefully he'll get used to it.

It's only been one night so I wouldn't panic yet! But yes, sleeping often changes in very young babies and goes through different phases. At 11 weeks, he's starting to come out of the newborn phase. He might remain a good sleeper, he might not, no one can tell!

If he was grunting and wriggling, could he have had trapped wind?
