Toddler separation anxiety

Would be really grateful if anyone could offer some sage advice!

My 2.5y DD1 has been sleeping through the night until this week. Now, she keeps calling for 'Mummy and Daddy', taking about an hour to get to sleep and then waking up overnight.

There's been no changes with naps etc, no recent trauma and she is suitably tired after her usual bedtime routine. The only thing I can pin it on is separation anxiety. Last night was particularly bad and she was very upset when DH left after her bath to put DD2 to bed - he does this every night and it's never bothered her before.

A few nights ago I went in everytime she woke - this ended up in me going in seven times over two hours (!) and didn't end until I told her off. Since then, I've tried to reassure her through the door with limited success.

We've also given her a new nightlight so that she can find all her cuddly toys overnight.

Has anyone else experienced this? Please help! Smile

No advice but watching! My DS at 2.5 also does this and its driving me insane. Gro clock hasn't worked because he just gets up and changes it. There is nowhere we can put it out of reach. Angry
