Hi all

My nearly 4 month old boys isual bedtime routine is to bath, little massage and play, feed and then little cuddle to fall asleep ot at least get vety drowsy and put down at 7ish...

The last 2 nights he has decided to cry and get upset in the cuddle /rock stage, but immediately stop crying when put down in crib, wide awake but content, then fell asleep himself within 10 mins without a peep.

It's like he saying I don't want to be rocked, I'll get myself to sleep! I'm not complaining but a bit strange...?

Anyone heard of this? He is only 4 months. In the day he is still loving a cuddle for nap time.

Thanks

Mine has started doing this recently but he's 6 months! I just put him down and let him get on with it if he's happier. I would prefer to cuddle him to sleep but he try's to stretch out away from me haha

I always tried to put my kids down while awake so they could settle themselves. Be happy this is the goal isn’t it?
