Advice for toddler waking earlier and earlier....

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป
My DD used to sleep in until between 6 and 7 which was absolutely fine. The last 3-4 weeks sheโ€™s been getting earlier and earlier (5:45..:.5:30) and today was 4:50!
Now pregnant with DC2 and need to try and tackle this.
We try and keep naps to 1-1.5 hrs at home (sheโ€™s at nursery 4 days a week and has a good sleep of between 1 and 2 hours) has bedtime at 7 and goes off brilliantly.
We take it in turns getting up so itโ€™s bearable and keep all lights off, no snacks til after 6:30 and just put the telly on as itโ€™s the only way we can cope really Blush
Any advice? Just a phase? She seems to be pulling her teeth a lot over these 3 weeks so thinking could be molars as these are the only teeth she doesnโ€™t have but I canโ€™t actually see them coming through.
When she was younger we would leave her to cry for a bit and sheโ€™d drop back off when she went through a phase of this but sheโ€™s a bit old for that now!
Any advice very welcome thank you!!

How old is she? Does the nap need shortning/moving further away from bed time?

meepmoop · 20/05/2019 07:22

I would try shifting/shortening naps to see if that makes a difference.
DS only has a 30min nap now at 22months as he was waking up in the night wide awake

Have you tried a groclock? My 2 year old DS knows he will be returned to his bedroom with no interaction until the sun shows on his clock at 6am.

Don't put the telly on. Take her back to bed until 6.30. Gro clocks are great.

TBF though I thing anything after 6 with a toddler is a lie in.

londonmarathonhalfwaypoint · 20/05/2019 07:28

Later bedtime?

Napqueen1234 · 20/05/2019 07:31

@loafofsellotape that was always my rule too. Even 5:45 was bearable! Thanks for the advice. Sheโ€™s 22 months sorry should have said. Was thinking of trying the gro clock sheโ€™s pretty bright so I think sheโ€™d pick it up!0
