Hi all, any advice for a baby-led mama to restore a wee bit of calm into our life!?

My baby has always had a story, a "night night world" type chat looking out of the window, a song and a cuddle to sleep in arms - for every sleep except car and buggy. So a fair amount of consistency.

Suddenly, at the point of exhaustion, when ordinarily he would put his head on my shoulder, he points to his cot and when I put him down he plays frantically and stands to talk to me. Every sleep is an hour long fight against sleep and he often ends up bashing his head in his cot or on his bars and cries at the end he's so knackered. Even then he doesn't seem to be relaxing in my arms the same way.

Can anyone offer any advice for how to handle this phase? FYI please don't suggest sleep training. Thank you!

Are you staying in the room with him? What happens if you leave the room?
